Introduction to gown pattern making
I will give a very basic overview of the process of making a pattern and the garment in the fashion industry –  the workflow and process, and the knowledge that a professional patternmaker in the fashion industry would need in order to make patterns. Of course, for home sewers making their own pattern, the process would not always be the same.  
Fabric consumption

he quantity of fabric which is required to produce a garment is called fabric consumption. Fabric represents around 70% of the total garment cost and is therefore the most important component in costing.

Design Analysis

This unit introduces students to the field of fashion criticism, and guides them in the analysis of the design, theme, and contents of a fashion collection. It will provide a background on the design and presentation of a collection, using the work of Alexander McQueen to guide instruction in visual and garment analysis.
